Chandigarh,July 12,2018 ( By Madhur Vyas): The goal of the visit is to establish initial understanding of potential links between the two universities and find common interests for cooperation in the area of student and faculty exchange, joint research and development projects, joint publications, staff exchange, Russian and Hindi languages education and training, Russian and Indian cultural activities and so on. Another possible area of cooperation in law: the University of Tyumen publishes “BRICS Law Journal”, the academic journal indexed in Scopus, and they are welcoming contributions to the journal from Indian Law academics and practitioners. Alexander Seryakov, the Director for the International Affairs University of Tyumen had been in touch with the Director of Public Relations, PU, Renuka Salwan and the Dean, International Students, Deepti Gupta. The meeting was attended by Prof. S.K.Mehta, Director CIL, Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Chairperson, Hindi, Prof. Ramesh, CIL, Dr Shruti Bedi, UILS, Renuka Salwan, DPR and DIS, Deepti Gupta. After the introductions, there was a Powerpoint presentation by Dr Gabyshev about the University of Tyumen and the Laboratory of microdynamic technologies of the university.
The Department of Hindi team made a powerpoint presentation on their activities. Dr Ramesh took the visitor around the CIL. Dr Shruti Bedi expressed an interest in collaboration in the field of Law. Dr Gabyshev will deliver a special lecture on ‘Droplet Cluster’ for science students at PU tomorrow. It is hoped that this interaction will lead to a MoU soon.
