JDA DEMOLISHES FOUR ILLEGAL COLONIES AROUND THE CITY
Jalandhar, November 15 ( By SK.Vyas ) – Cracking down heavily on the illegal colonies and encroachments in the district, the Jalandhar Development Authority (JDA) on Thursday demolished four illegal colonies in Bulandpur and Kishangarh localities.
A special team of the civic body led by JDA Estate Officer Dr Jai Inder Singh razed three illegal colonies in the village Bulandpur and one in Kishangarh-Kartarpur road.
Singh told that the mushrooming up of illegal colonies would not be allowed in the district. He said that the JDA was also keeping a strict vigil to check the coming up of such colonies.
He further stated that as per the directions of the state government, the JDA would take strict action against any such colony coming up in its jurisdiction.
He informed that the JDA has already set up a special regulatory authority to take stringent action against violators of law on one hand and strengthening its regulatory wing on the other.
JDA Estate Officer also said that a centralized complaint cell has been set up to register and maintain all complaints received telephonically or in writing.
