New Delhi, December 9, 2019; Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia attended the convocation ceremony at the Ambedkar University on Monday. Congratulating the students of the university at the event, Dy CM appreciated the faculty and the university for its efforts in providing quality education and supporting the Delhi government in its educational initiatives.
Dy CM Manish Sisodia said, “I am sure that the blessings of your parents on the first day of your school have made you reach this pedestal. I wish you all the success in life and hope that you contribute significantly towards the development of the nation. Ambedkar University is one of the most renowned and significant universities in India. I want to congratulate Vice-Chancellor Professor Anu and Professor Shyam Menon and all the staff that has been working in the university for the last more than a decade.”
Manish Sisodia said that the governments can run the universities by grants and set up their infrastructures, but a university gains recognition only through the efforts of the faculties of the universities. He advised the students to contribute to the growth of the education system. He said, “It is also the responsibility of the students to make the universities gain recognition worldwide. Your professional, social and individual accomplishments will take the name of the university forward.
I have said this earlier on several occasions, Ambedkar University has contributed significantly towards the growth and development of the nation. Ambedkar University has provided us with immense support for the introduction of several new initiatives in the field of education and development. We have always considered Ambedkar University as our partner at the onset of the introduction of new things. Ambedkar University has played an important role in implementing and putting forth the learning curriculum towards the development of Delhi.”
“We have always worked on quality education, but I believe that along with quality education, we should also work on quantity education. Every year 2.5 lakh students pass out from schools, and I want all the 2.5 lakh students to get admission in universities and the universities in Delhi should provide quality education to all the students. A new Ambedkar University campus has been opened in Karam Pura, and the second campus has been opened in Lodhi Road. The student intake of the campus has increased from 800 to 1034. I hope that the new campus of Ambedkar University will contribute towards taking forward the education system of the country and provide quality education to the students,” added the Dy Chief Minister.
