CBI FILES CHARGESHEET AGAINST MLA AND A PRIVATE PERSON ON THE ALLEGATIONS OF RAPE ETC.

New Delhi,July 11,2018:The Central Bureau of Investigation has today filed a chargesheet against an MLA and a private person, resident of Makhi, District- Unnao (Uttar Pradesh) Under Section 120-B read with Section 363, 366, 376 (i), 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 3 & 4 of POCSO Act & substantive offences thereof before the Competent Court.
This was stated by RK.Gaur,Spokesperson of the CBI . 
He saidCBI had registered a case on April 12,2018 on the request of Uttar Pradesh Government & further notification from Government of India and taken over the investigation of crime No. 0096/2018 U/s 363, 366, 376, 506 of IPC and Section 3 & 4 of POCSO Act. 2012 earlier registered at Police Station Makhi, District Unnao (Uttar Pradesh) on the complaint lodged by mother of prosecutrix alleging therein that her minor daughter was taken to the residence of an MLA by a lady (private person), resident of Makhi, District- Unnao and thereafter she was raped at his residence.
Further investigation Under Section  173 (8)  of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cr.P.C)  is continuing to examine the role of others including officials in the instant case.
The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial.
