CLEANLINESS DRIVE HELD OUTSIDE DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE COMPLEX

       MOVE AIMED AT MAKING SURROUNDINGS CLEAN AND GREEN

Jalandhar, November 14,2019: The district administration on Thursday initiated a special cleanliness drive outside the district administrative complex.

Divulging the details, the Deputy Commissioner  Varinder Kumar Sharma said that the main focus of the drive was to ensure that surroundings of the complex were thoroughly cleaned. He said that the drive was carried out with the help of the NSS Volunteers from Government Senior Secondary School Karari, ST. Soldier Law College and Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji Sports & Welfare Club, Dalla.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the drive also focused on sensitizing the people towards the need for making the surroundings clean and green.  Sharma called upon the people to give support to such initiatives as no such effort could be successful without their cooperation.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that it was the dream of the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to make the state clean and green adding that the district administration was committed for making concerted efforts to ensure that no stone was left unturned for this noble cause.

On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner  Jasbir Singh, SDM Dr Jai Inder Singh, SVEEP Assistant Nodal Officer  Surjeet Lal, Principal  Subash Sharma, Subedar  Charanjeet Singh and Jaspal Sahota and others were, present.
