SAYS GHAR GHAR ROZGAR YOJNA WOULD TRANSFORM THE DESTINY OF YOUTH BY PROVIDING THEM JOBS
Jalandhar, November 8,218 ( By SK.Vyas) : Exhorting the students to avail maximum benefits of the job fairs organized by the district administration on November 14 and 18, the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma today said that these mega job camps organized by the state government under ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar scheme’ would open new vistas of employment for the youth of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner said that this was a noble initiative by the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to provide job to every household. He said that in this first of its kind initiative the industrial giants would visit the campuses of colleges to select youth for the job. Sharma said that while on November 14 the job fair would be held at the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, the Shahpur campus of CT Institute would hold the camp on November 18.
The Deputy Commissioner said that this job fair would open a number of avenues for the youth to be gainfully employed for living a life with dignity and pride. He said that the companies would select these students as per their need and qualifications of the students. Sharma said that it would serve two purposes of providing jobs to the needy youth of district on one hand and providing skilled manpower to cope up with the needs of local industry on the other.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that the selection of the students would be made purely on merit through a fair and transparent system. He said that the interested students could apply for the jobs by registering themselves with the District Bureau of Employment generation or logging in towww.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in.
