Jalandhar, July 31, 2020: Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Friday reviewed the implementation of ongoing projects under various programs of the Punjab Government.
Chairing a meeting to discuss the progress of the Punjab Urban Environment Improvement Program (PUEIP), Smart Village Campaign (SVC), Revenue Court Management System (RCMS), flood protection works and others, Deputy Commissioner asked the Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and officials to ensure that the developmental works were completed within the stipulated period for the well-being of the people.
He said that it was the need of the hour for giving a fillip to the overall development of the state.Thori directed them to adhere to the timelines for the completion of ongoing projects under these schemes.
He told that there should not be a further delay in the submission of the project reports to the state government for getting funds soon. He said that the funds under these programs would give a major impetus to the overall development of the urban and rural areas of the district.
Thori said that the main motive of the schemes was to ensure the comprehensive development of these areas of the district.
On the occasion, Sub Divisional Magistrates Rahul Sindhu, Gautam Jain, Jai Inder Singh, Sanjiv Kumar Sharma, MC joint Commissioner Innayat, DDPO Iqbalpreet Singh, DRO Jashanjeet Singh and others were present.
