Delhi Civil Supplies Minister reviews doorstep delivery of Ration  

New Delhi, February 18, 2020:  Imran Hussain on re-assuming the charge as Minister of Food & Civil Supplies and Election, Govt. of NCT of Delhi today convened a meeting of Commissioner, Food and Civil Supplies (CFS) and other senior officers of Food and Civil Supplies Department to review the status of implementation of Door Step Delivery of Ration.

During the meeting, CFS briefed the Minister about the status of the Door Step Delivery of Ration Project and assured that the complete action plan is being worked upon and results will be visible soon.  The Minister directed CFS to ensure that there is no further delay in the implementation of the Scheme. This will go a long way in helping the poor and needy to obtain their ration under National Food Security Act, 2013, at their doorstep.

Imran Hussain reiterated the commitment and keenness of Govt. of NCT of Delhi to further improve and strengthen the system of distribution of food grains in Delhi and to bring transparency in the entire chain of the distribution system.

Delivery of Ration at the Door Step of the beneficiary has been conceptualized by Delhi Govt. for ensuring that the ration reaches genuine and bonafide beneficiaries in a transparent and time-bound manner.

Imran Hussain also informed that provision of ration at the Door Step of the beneficiaries is one of the key priorities of Delhi Govt. and assured that this commitment will be soon realized with the implementation of the Project.
