Exhibition themed on Teej & Rakhi kicks off, exhibitors from Thailand add colour
Chandigarh, July 28, 2019 : With the festivals of ‘Teej’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’ around the corner, a unique exhibition themed on these festivals – ‘Global Fashion Era’, has kicked off at Kisan Bhawan, Sec 35 here. Being organised by Planning Gurus till July 29, the exhibition is displaying beautiful handmade Rakhi’s and traditional wear collections suited for the upcoming festivals. 55 exhibitors from across the country are showcasing their collections of traditional designer wear, Indo-Western apparels and other lifestyle enhancing products which have been created painstakingly by artisans. The exhibition is also displaying women accessory products from Thailand, which have been brought by Anna under the label Thai DD Ltd. Partnership.
Rattandeep Singh Walia, Director of Planning Gurus said, “We have organised this exhibition in an endeavor to provide tri-city residents a wide range of collections with a focus on Teej and Rakhi festivals. The exhibitors have come from across the country, with the latest and the most-trendy collections which are available at very affordable rates.” Mrs. Aman Walia, the other Director of Planning Gurus said, “The exhibition is a treasure trove for traditional wear, handicrafts, apparels, accessories, footwear and all of this is available under one roof.”
A large number of fashion conscious visitors thronged the exhibition on its opening day. The centre of attraction was a comprehensive range of colorful handmade Rakhi’s. The array of pure Silver Rakhis available, are turning out to be the most sort after. The eye-catching collection of festive accessories including Rakhi’s is being presented by ‘Rozy Accessories’ and ‘Accessory By Shimmer’ among others. Ashok Goyal, an exhibitor said, “Oxidized Rakhis which are skin friendly and do not lose their colour are the trend these days. Pearl Rakhis too are gaining in popularity.”
To make your look more vibrant with ethnic fashion on this Teej and Rakhi, a Delhi based designer – Mrittika, is displaying a stunning collection of ‘gota patti’ suits. A Panchkula based designer Dimpi Gupta’s ensembles consist of beautiful floral printed suits. ‘Fatima Fabric Banarsi’ is presenting a plethora of designer Banarsi sarees. ‘House of Bani’ from Delhi has brought designer Western wear. Shimla’s ‘Butterfly’ has a range of hip dresses and gowns.
‘Home Story’ is displaying enticing pieces of home linen. ‘Mahendra Handicraft, Jaipur’ has brought Rajasthani handicraft items with intricate work.
The sterling jewelry from Delhi and Hyderabad is beckoning visitors and making heads turn. Elegant artificial jewelry items like necklaces, earrings, rings and lots more are available.
Fashion accessories are not far behind. In the exhibition visitors are spoilt for choice with a bevy of hand bags, purses etc displayed by Fancy Frills, Ambala.
Visitors were seen at the traditional footwear stall of ‘Kaur Creations’ from Chandigarh, who is showcasing Punjabi juttis. ‘Addsons Footwear’ also has a wide collection of Western and traditional footwear for ladies.
There are available massagers, electronic items .etc too. Indeed the exhibition is giving shoppers a chance to browse through a select collection of fashion and lifestyle products, ahead of the festival season.
