In the field of fish farming, Kapurthala will be model district

* 1650 acres of land in the sub-education Sea of Fishery

Kapurthala, August 23:,2018 ( By Madhur) : Government fish pung farm has been supplied to 66 lakh fish farmers till Kapurthala so far this year, compared to 40 lakh last year. Disclosing this here today, Chief Executive Officer, Fisheries Development Agency Kapurthala Srivastava Sagar said that 1650 acres of land is presently under fish cultivation and this year has been fixed for this year 1986 acre. He said that under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner  Muhammad Taib, Kapurthala is being set up to make a model district in the field of the fishery. He said that there is a cosmopolitan environment and abundant possibilities for fishery farming in the district and for this reason the lowlands, barren, Efforts are being made to bring waste land and ponds under fish farming. He said that Punjab Government has been providing huge subsidy and other facilities for fish pond and other allied activities. Vidya Sagar informed that special training camps are being set up to provide information about the schemes of the department to the Sarpanches and Panchayat Secretaries of Block Nadalala, Dhilwan, Sultanpur Lodhi and River related to the promotion of fishery in the district.
