Ludhiana, February 14,2019First of the seven sub-division level job fairs was organised at Government ITI on Gill Road, here today, in which more than 150 companies took part and shortlisted and recruited the unemployed youth. Today, around 3000 youth had got themselves registered during the job fair.
Under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana of the Punjab government, a total of seven Sub-Division level Job Fairs are to be organised in district Ludhiana from today onwards, through which the district administration aims to provide employment to thousands of unemployed youth of the district.
Agrawal informed that the first job fair was organised at Government ITI, Gill Road, here today. He informed that sincere efforts have been made by the District Administration to ensure maximum participation by the youth as well as the recruiting companies.
He further informed that two job fairs would be organised on February 16 at Swami Ganga Giri College, Gondwal near Raikot and at Government ITI Girls in Samrala.
On February 17, two Job Fairs would be organised at Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, Jagraon and at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Payal, while on February 22, two Job Fairs would be organised at Gulzar Group of Institutes Khanna and at Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana.
The Deputy Commissioner has already issued necessary directions to the concerned officials and has urged them to ensure maximum number of youth attend these job fairs so that maximum jobs are provided to them. He said that the youth can get themselves registered for these job fairs through the portal, www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in. He informed that apart from Ludhiana based companies, representatives from other companies of the state would also participate during these job fairs.
While urging the youth, the Deputy Commissioner said that the youth should take full advantage of these job fairs as several reputed companies are willing to provide employment to them.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included ADC (D) Dr Shena Aggarwal, ADC Jagraon Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta, SDM West Mr Damanjit Singh Mann, AETC Ludhiana-2 Mr Navraj Singh Brar, Tehsildar West Mr Ajitpal Singh Chahal, Government ITI Ludhiana Principal Mr Jaswant Singh Bhathal, besides several others.
