Fatehgarh Sahib. July.12,2018 ( By TNL Bureau) : State Govt. is committed to uplift the living standard of below poverty line people by initiating various people-oriented schemes. Capt. Amarinder Singh has implemented his another promise by increasing the amount of various type of pensions from Rs.500/- to Rs.750/- and under Ashirwad Scheme the amount has been increased from Rs.15000/- to Rs.21000/- and the increased amount worth Rs.3.5 Crore of 46061 beneficial under various schemes up to May month has been deposited in their bank accounts, said Kuljit Singh Nagra MLA, after distributing the sanction certificates of various type of pensions to beneficiaries at Nabi Pur village today.
He said that district social security department has been directed to conduct camps in rural areas to sort out pension related problems of senior citizens, handicapped, widows and dependents. He said the identity cards to senior citizens and handicapped are being issued.
He said that State Govt. is committed to fulfill all the promises made by Capt. Amrinder Singh. He said soon the people will start getting Sugar, tea leaves as promised.
