Chandigarh, June 10, 2018 (By TNL Bureau): – Haryana Police has nabbed 11 members of Babariya Gang together in three murder cases. The members of the gang were wanted in seven cases. From 2015 till date, the gang had stolen over 750 sheep’s from seven different places in Punjab and Himachal and 60 sacks of rice.
While giving this information on Saturday, a spokesman of the Police Department said that the gang had murdered three people of village Pindarsi in Kurukshetra but remained unsuccessful in their attempt to steal sheeps. On interrogation, the arrested members of the gang confessed to have made a theft of over 750 sheeps from Rajpura, Shanbu Border, Dera Bassi, Ramgarh, Jallandhar and Baddi in Himachal. And, they had never involved in fight or murder during theft incidences.
He said that the gang members also revealed to have been committing thefts of sheeps only. But with intention of stealing hundreds of sheeps together from village Pindarsi, they murdered three persons of the village and during which many sheeps had also died after being run over by the train. The gang member fled from the spot in fear of getting caught.
He said that out of 17 members of gang, the police have already arrested 11 members and search for remaining six is on at different places.
He said that many police teams are conducting search operations in nearby places of the state, to arrest the remaining accused and recover the truck.
