Chandigarh, April 4,2020 (YS.Rana): Haryana, the State Government has today released an amount of Rs 169 Crore. This amount has been released to ten sugar mills of the State and the concerned authorities have been directed to pay the dues of the farmers of the sugarcane crop to support them during the present situation.
Giving information in this regard, Haryana Co-operation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that the Government has released Rs 15.80 crore to Panipat’s Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rs 27.30 crore to Rohtak’s Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rs 18.30 crore to Karnal‘s Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rs 21.10 crore to Sonipat’s Cooperative Sugar mill and Rs. 3.70 crore to the cooperative sugar mill of Shahabad.
He said that likewise, Rs 13.50 crore to Jind’s Cooperative Sugar mill, Rs 25.35 crore to Palwal’s Cooperative Sugar mill, Rs 17.20 crore Meham’s Cooperative Sugar mill, Rs 19.15 crore Kaithal’s Cooperative Sugar mill and Rs 7.60 crore to Gohana’s cooperative Sugar mill has been released.
The Co-operation Minister said that on March 31, 2020, in view of the interests of farmers, the state government has decided to send surplus sugarcane crop of Panipat, Karnal and Fatehabad districts to other sugar mills so that farmers do not face any kind of problem. He said that two lakh quintal sugarcane crop has been sent from Panipat to Gohana’s Cooperative sugar mill while three lakh quintal sugarcane crop has been sent from Panipat to Meham’s Cooperative Sugar mill.
Similarly, five lakh quintal surplus sugarcane crop has been sent to Cooperative Sugar mill of Bhadson from Panipat and five lakh quintal sugarcane crop to Cooperative Sugar mill of Naraingarh from Karnal. He informed that a surplus sugarcane crop of about four lakh quintals has also been sent to Jind’s Cooperative Sugar mill from the villages of District Fatehabad.
