Jalandhar March 8 Chandrayaan Vipnet Club of Physics department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated International Women’s Day in collaboration with Fine Arts department of the college under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Various competitions like card making, painting, artificial flower making, pot designing, photography, best out of waste, cooking without fire were organized to enhance the artistic qualities of the students. 200 students of different classes of the college participated in the event. Teachers of different faculties also visited the department to encourage the students. In flower making competition, Kanupriya got first prize, Simran got second prize and Kavita got third prize. In Photography, Rubi Singh got first prize, Radhika got second prize and Kamalpreet got third prize. In fireless cooking, team of Aakriti, Swati and Akanksha got first prize. Team of Muskan, Raman, Reetika got second prize and team of Komal, Krishma and Gursimran got third prize. Consolation prize was given to team of Shivangi, Shagun and Pallavi. In best out of waste competition, Ritika got first prize, Ishpreet got second prize and Karishma, Ravika and Manpreet got third prize. In card making, Ankita got first prize, Swati got second prize, Harkirat got third prize and Shweta got consolation prize. In Painting, Swati got first, Latika got second and Ritika got third prize. In Pot making, Sakshi got first, Priyanka got second and Akshita got third prize. Judges of the events were Dr. Neelam Sharma and Dr. Rakhi Mehta for card making, for best out of waste and flower making Mrs. Deepshikha and Mrs. Navneeta, for photography Dr. Seema Marwaha and Mrs. Rama Sharma, for cooking without fire Mrs. Purnima and Mrs. Aishwarya. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the winners. On this occasion, Head of Physics department Mrs. Saloni Sharma, Mr. Sushil Kumar and Ms. Simmi were also present.
