CHANDIGARH–MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36 Chandigarh in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) and Tech Mahindra Foundation’s SMART-T Centre, Mohali organized the two day National
Webinar on Entrepreneurship Development from June 3-4/.
The program was inaugurated today by Dr. Nisha Bhargava,, Principal MCM DAV College. Prof. Sanjiv Puri, (Honorary Director, Centre for Industry-Institute Partnership Programme, Panjab University,
Chandigarh) gave the keynote address.
Paramjit Singh (Director RCED), Dr. Anil Angrish (Associate Professor,NIPER, SAS Nagar) and Mr. Vipan Sarin (CEO-Farmers Shop) took the sessions on Need for Entrepreneurship, Charms in becoming
Entrepreneur, Intrapreneurial Development and Story of an agri start-up. Dr. Geeta Mehra (Head, Dept. of Food Science, MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh) coordinated the program. Ms. Payal
Sharma, Mrs. Jasleen Kaur and Rashim Bhatnagar from RCED took care of
all the end to end process of training.
The program gained a great kick start. More 300 participants from all over India got themselves registered by filling the form on https://rcedindia.com/ and attended the program. The purpose of
organizing the Entrepreneurship Development Program is to motivate the students sitting at home during Lockdown to prepare themselves for\ coming challenges in a positive way. It is one of the initiatives undertaken by RCED during lockdown period. It is organized for those
students who want to be an entrepreneur, or the ones who are determined and ready to set up their own units, but lack professional knowledge. All End to End inputs from project identification,
Selection to successfully running the ventures is provided during the training.
The Program will conclude on June 4.
