Pak-based Bhagat Singh Foundation congratulates Modi, hopes for better relations between India and Pakistan
Lahore, May 26, 2019: Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi, President, Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation in Pakistan congratulated Narendra Modi on his becoming the Prime Minister of India for the second term and hoped that the relations between India and Pakistan would improve.
Qureshi said, if Canada and USA citizens can meet, there is no reason that the people of India and Pakistan cannot meet, if a constructive role is played by the Prime Minister of both the countries.
Talking to Babushahi.com, Qureshi made an appeal to Modi to extend friendship hand and visit Pakistan like Atal Bihari Vajpai and contribute to fill up the vacuum between the two countries.
Qureshi is advocate by profession and in Pakistan pursuing the innocence of Bhagat Singh and his associates who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of India. He has also taken up the matter with the Pakistan government to name Shadman chowk as Bhagat Singh’s chowk.
