A lecture on ‘Drugs: Issues, cure and prevention was organized at Juvenile Home, Chandigarh. It was well received by inmates and patriotic values were inculcated within their hearts by Ms. Anaya Poonam.
Later a session on stress management was delivered by KS Chhatwal at UILS, Panjab University for the faculty followed by meditation and yoga session of Kamal Malhi. The gatherings were attended by about fifty participants and positive change was felt in air after the sessions. Daizy Zerabi, Chairperson, Department of Community Education and Disability Studies and Chairperson, UILS were quite ecstatic with the lectures and experts.
In the evening two sessions at Girls Hostel 5 and Girls Hostel 10 were organized in collaboration with Panjab University Alumni Association. The sessions were attended by about eighty students of the hostels who shared their personal and professional issues with experienced experts. Neelam Dhamija, Anaya Poonam, Kavita Sharma and Anaya Poonam acted as valuable resource persons.
Dr. Arun Bansal, Social Substance apprised that more than two hundred and thirty events had been organized by the group in recent years and he aimed at reaching the issues at grassroots level be it pollution, environment, biodiversity or counseling session.
