CHANDIGARH: On the opening day of the World Online Carrom Challenge – India 2020
former World Cup Champion and Komervelli Srinivas (India), and
two-time World Champion Rashmi Kumari (India) topped the men and women groups respectively, in the World Online Carrom Challange – India
K. Srinivas displayed extraordinary stuff in his opening day by
scoring an Ultimate Slam and two Black slams in given 8 boards, he
took total 23 chances to finish 8 boards but due to his 16 credit
points (10 for Ultimate Slam+ 6 for 2 Black Slams) his net score
reduced to 7.Srinivas crossed the finishing line ahead of the performance of Prashant More, Current World Champion who took 24 chances to finish8 boards and got 9 points for 3 black slams and could reduce his overall score to 15.
Yogesh Dhongde of India was at the third spot with 21 points wile Sufian Chicktey of UAE was occupying third place with 23 points while Chamil Cooray of Netherlands with 26 points. Shaheed Hilmi of Sri
Lanka at sixth place with 27 points.Rashmi Kumari with overall 38 points is well ahead of all the
participants of Women Section. There were total 16 Slams scored, 01 Ultimate, 01 white and 14 black slams were scored.
