TWO DRUG SMUGGLERS NABBED

Ferozepur, March 16, 2019: Tightening the noose of the drug peddlers in this border region, police have arrested two drug smugglers in two separate cases. Giving details, Sandip Goyal SSP said that in first case police has arrested one person identified as Harbhajan Singh alias Bablu, a resident of Village Behak Phattu in Zira sub-division. As per information available, police has recovered 1.25 Kg opium, 100 Kg poppy husk, 60 Kg poppy husk powder, Rs. 50000/- cash and a Samsung mobile from him from. A Bolero vehicle (White colour PB05  T 0929) has also been recovered from him. A case under section 15, 18, 61, 85 IPC, NDPS has been lodged against the accused at Zira Sadar police station. (Case number 15 dated 15.03.19).

In other case another drug smuggler identified as Jasbir Singh alias Kala, resident of Village Ghudu Wala in Makhu block has been arrested and 4 Kg poppy husk powder has been recovered from him. A case under sections 15, 61, 85 NDPS Act was registered against the accused at Makhu police station (Case number 2 dated 15.03.19)
